To celebrate #WorldSoilDay 2024, on 5 December Anci Toscana hosts an initiative at the Altana of Palazzo Strozzi in Florence to explore the interconnection of soil and food, with a focus on European, national, and regional policies.
At this pivotal moment for our planet's future, we will discuss innovative strategies and sustainable practices to protect soil, ensure food security, and foster development models that align with environmental harmony.
This event will bring together experts, institutions, organizations, and citizens to shape a shared vision of sustainability.
Side event in Calenzano in the afternoon:
In the afternoon, the HuMUS pilot site of Calenzano will host a special side event featuring soil health demonstration workshops organised by the Università degli Studi di Firenze in collaboration with stakeholders engaged in participatory initiatives.
