Ecomondo - The Green Technology Expo

Ecomondo, the ecological transition ecosystem, is the place for industry, stakeholders, policymakers, opinion leaders and local authorities to meet and talk. It brings together and systemises the key elements that define the development strategies of the European Union's environmental policy.

In 2023, the show will be held in Rimini from 7 to 10 November 2023, and will also organise and promote digital and in-person meetings throughout the year, providing opportunities to address issues related to the implementation of the flagship projects in the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) and the adoption of the circular economy in the main industrial supply chains as well as the restoration and ecological regeneration of soils and the hydrosphere, coastlines and cities.

The 2023 edition will focus on, among other things: 

• Level of national implementation of the priorities and flagship projects in the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), with particular attention to the WEEE, paper-cardboard, textile and plastic value chains; 

• Level of European and international adoption of the circular economy in terms of process and product efficiency, ecodesign, recycling and use of secondary raw materials in the industrial supply chains of the textile, WEEE, plastics, paper-cardboard and construction sectors, with specific references to the new “Green Deal Industrial Plan”;

• Environmental restoration and regeneration of soils and the hydrosphere, with focus on the sustainable production and valorisation of agro-forestry resources (with the production of food, wood, paper, chemical compounds, materials and energy), the sustainable use of water resources and the sea (blue economy), and the integrated management and valorisation of wastewater and municipal organic waste; 

• Green and circular cities, cooler and healthier, more efficient in the management and consumption of food and the use of water and energy resources and in the management and valorisation of waste generated; 

• Research and innovation and European funding to support them; new regulations, procedures and national and European policies governing their adoption, investment and financing, start-up and training.
