Montado Living Lab and increase and value the role of Montado in the climate transition

The LL Montado main focus is the development, testing, and promotion of sustainable practices to enhance the multifunctionality of the Montado system with a focus on soil health, restoration of the structure, namely the tree cover, and promoting biodiversity assuring a socio-economic balance in this crucial agro-silvo-pastoral system. The LL aims at building capacities and tailored solutions using co-construction approaches, involving input from multiple stakeholders with relevance for the Montado system, namely Academia, Associations, Public Administration and Companies with activities linked with the Montado. This collaborative effort facilitates knowledge sharing, learning, innovation, and technological development to optimise Montado solutions.
